POSITION PURPOSE AND EXAMPLES OF WORK:
Perform legal research pertaining to motions, pleadings, and summary judgments; provide security and assist the Judge and other Division staff as necessary to ensure the efficiency of the Division, including jury and docket management. Open and close the court; requisition and pick up supplies; file, copy, and
deliver court files; contact attorneys regarding cases; collect information and give information to the jurors and the public according to procedures; may be responsible for sequestered juries; read and research pleadings; research and write legal memorandums pertaining to motions before the court;
prepare orders; and perform related work as required..
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school; no experience required. Knowledge of principles, practices, and methods of the law; must be proficient in data entry, Microsoft Office Suite, Lexis/Nexis & Westlaw; ability to communicate ideas and present materials clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; ability to produce clear, complete and logical reports, letters, memoranda, legal documents, etc.; ability to apply legal principles and specialized knowledge to individual cases and problems; ability to analyze, appraise and
organize facts, evidence, and the law and prepare written recommendations to the Judge.
